Fires a rapid series of energy blasts. All targets in the area of effect must make a DC 12 (+ your proficiency bonus) Dex save or take 1d6 force damage.
Area of effect could be handled in several ways.
- 10′ cube. This is the easiest and fits well with the rules, while not getting out of hand. On the other hand it feels a little strange that energy bolts start and stop in a very limited area. This fits best with characters usage as it’s easy place a 10′ by 10′ area around your enemies.
- Straight line, everyone in square crossed by the beam makes a save. This option feels more ‘realistic’. The flip side is that it has the potential to hit more targets, though this could also be friendly targets.
