Magic missile gun

Fires a rapid series of energy blasts. All targets in the area of effect must make a DC 12 (+ your proficiency bonus) Dex save or take 1d6 force damage.

Area of effect could be handled in several ways.

  1. 10′ cube. This is the easiest and fits well with the rules, while not getting out of hand. On the other hand it feels a little strange that energy bolts start and stop in a very limited area. This fits best with characters usage as it’s easy place a 10′ by 10′ area around your enemies.
  2. Straight line, everyone in square crossed by the beam makes a save. This option feels more ‘realistic’. The flip side is that it has the potential to hit more targets, though this could also be friendly targets.
